When sorrow and love intertwine, they cause heartbreak. This project explores the emotional depth of heartbreak through an immersive soundscape, set in the context of a solitary park during a rainstorm. The sounds of birds, rain, thunder, and rustling leaves evoke the longing for connection we experience in times of heartache. Accompanied by visuals and a sound score, this piece represents the emotional atmosphere of heartbreak, drawing upon the serene yet poignant ambiance of a rain-soaked park. The colour purple, a blend of pink and blue—our symbolic hues for love and sorrow—serves as the visual anchor, capturing the fusion of these two intense emotions.

    Construction of the visualizer was not a easy task as it involved identifying key parameters to change which aligns with our vision. For example, to mimic the effects of thunder, we adjusted the colours and rendering distance of the cloud element. It was technical, but at the same time was very satisfying to build.
