This experiment reimagines the act of wishing through a deconstructed, symbolic wishing well made from ice cream sticks. At the heart of the well lies a funnel with an embedded LDR sensor and surrounding light source. When a coin is dropped, the sensor registers the brief disruption of light, initiating an animation on the screen. Ripples spread across the digital surface, symbolising the moment the coin enters the water, followed by a burst of spiral psychedelic visuals representing the transformative journey of the wish as it moves toward realisation.

The construction of the wishing well was a big challenge with its lengthy construction time. Deliberate and careful thought to its internal structures and Arduino placement is necessary in order for the whole experience to work properly. Through trial and error, we arrived at a satisfactory, functional result.
